Both undergraduate and graduate curricula are designed to provide a very good understanding of the kind of knowledge expected at these levels. They include among other things:
(i) Global and ethical issues,
(ii) Various political, social, legal, environmental and technological issues,
(iii) The result of demographic influence in the organization.

Depending on the program, every undergraduate level curriculum includes a general line of education that is usually comprised of around 25 percent of the student's four year program.

There are intensive English Language Courses in practically all undergraduate programs.

There is a relatively more emphasis on written, oral and practical communication process in both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Areas of specialization are designed to make them consistent with the main mission of the university.

In any program of VUB, the instructional materials and techniques are effective and up-to-date. Learning of the students to prepare themselves for career build-up reflects the quality of teaching offered. The teaching staff recognizes the fact that the relevance of what is taught and the process by which it is done are utterly important. The faculty is also responsible to improve or to make necessary amendments of the course content and the quality of teaching, with the approval of the appropriate authority. |
