PERFORMANCE
A student is deemed to have a satisfactory
performance if he/she earns a CGPA of 2.0 or more for
undergraduate program and 3.0 or more for graduate program.
ACADEMIC PROBATION
An undergraduate student is placed on academic
probation whose CGPA falls below 2.0 in a particular
semester. On the other hand, a graduate student is placed on
academic probation whose CGPA falls below 3.0 in a
particular semester. A student will have three semesters to
get out of probation. A student on academic probation may be
restricted in the number or type of courses for which he/she
will register during the academic probationary period.
DISMISSAL DUE TO UNSATISFACTORY
PERFORMANCE
When a student on probation fails to get out of
probation within three semesters, he/she will be dismissed
from the University. The University also reserves the right
to dismiss or exclude any student from any of its courses
whenever, in view of the University, such an action is
deemed appropriate.
FAILED STUDENTS
The University may allow failed students to re-sit
their examinations or resubmit their dissertation/project
report for examination provided that examiner(s) has(have)
made such recommendations. All recommendations for the
improvement of a dissertation/project report are to be
carried out by the candidate to the full satisfaction of the
examiner(s).
DEAN'S LIST
As a recognition of excellent performance, the names
of students obtaining an average CGPA of 3.8 or above in two
regular semesters in each academic year may be published in
Dean's list in the faculty. Students receiving a F grade in
any of the courses will not be considered for Dean's list
for that year.
