If a student drops from a course within three weeks, no entry is made on the academic records. If, however, he/she officially withdraws from a course between 4th and 6th week, the grade Withdrawal ("W") will be recorded in the transcript. A "W" does not affect the student's CGPA. For all withdrawal cases, students will have to pay 100% course fee.

A course is supposed to be taken only once for a grade. However a student who receives a failing 'F' grade or wants to improve his/her grade in any course he/she needs to retake that course by paying 100% course fee and attending all classes and examination and obtain a passing grade. Such a repeat will be allowed whenever the course is offered, provided that the number of courses including the repeat-one for a student does not exceed five courses in a semester. The better result among the two examinations will be taken into accounts. Such retake may be allowed twice. Failure to get a passing grade in the retake will result in dismissal of the student from the program. The students must register for the course(s) they want to repeat.

Withdrawal from the program must be with permission and is allowed only once, only after the student has completed a semester. Withdrawal is granted through the office of Dean of Schools. A student whose dues are not clear will not be permitted to withdraw from the program. A student applying for a leave of absence or withdrawal must give a definite semester for re-registration and must register within the time period mention in the application. A student who does not return for re-registration at the specified semester must apply for re-admission.
