FAQs

A student must complete registration at the beginning of each semester in accordance with guidelines issued by VUB before undergoing academic instruction. A student will not be allowed to register if there are unpaid fees from a previous semester. A student is required to pay his/her fees or make financial arrangements before he/she can register for a given semester.

A student within the first two weeks of his/her registration may withdraw from a course upon the approval of the Dean of this University as per procedures of VUB.

If a student obtains a F grade in any core course, he/she will have to retake the course. A student obtaining a F grade in an optional course, may retake the course or take a substitute course. A student can also repeat a course to improve his/her grade. However, a student will not be allowed to retake a course more than twice, without a special approval of the VUB authorities. Each grade earned in a repeated course will stay on the transcript and will be included in CGPA calculation.

Should a student find it necessary to interrupt active pursuit of his/her study, he/she must request in writing for leave of absence for a specific period. A student who discontinues active enrollment without getting granted leave of absence, or if a student who is granted the leave but does not do active study on completion of approved absence, must apply for readmission to VUB with appropriate readmission fees before he/she can continue to complete the program.

Withdrawal from an academic program requires approval of VUB. Permission to withdraw will not be granted to a student who does not have clear financial record.
